First Blog Post EVER!

So, as you can see I am a little excited to have my first blog. I am not a very confident writer, but I hope to be some day.

I am in Composition 1 right now, and that is why I actually made the blog. (Or else I wouldn't have the confidence to do it)

So here I am, writing in my very first blog. I can't wait for everyone to hear about the crazy things going on in my life.

Let's start off with a little bit about myself. My name is Katy Burks. I am currently attending OTC taking general education classes for my second semester so far. I am 18 years old, and my birthday is August 28th. I have a loving mom and dad that I still live with and a little cutie named Scout, my boxer and lab mixed dog. I work with my mom at nursing home/rehabilitation. I am a Christian. I love God with all my heart. I am also a huge music freak. I'll listen to just about anything you put on the radio. I play the violin and piano mostly, but I hope to learn many more instruments. I am planning to get my degree as a Music Therapist. If not music then just about anything in the healthcare field. I love helping people and making them happy. I am going to Africa this upcoming summer for a missions trip with my church.

Hmm... I think that is just about everything. I can't wait to write more and be more confident in my writing!
